The contract is awarded in 2004 by Danish Trust Fund to Consia
Consultant of Denmark in association with Pt. Pamintori Cipta. The
immediate objectives of the project is to establish a plan for
introducing preventive road safety engineering with particular
emphasis on The Road Safety Audits. Due to the fact that
Indonesia has strong platform of engineering knowledge and
preventive issues, the programs are relatively easier to adapt in an
already defined process. The preventive engineering issues has been,
therefore, stressed in the technical assistance for opening up more in-
depth road safety subjects in a positive circle.
With population of approximately 240 million and registered vehicle
of over 23 million, of which 70% are motorcycles, Indonesia is
suffered in serious road safety problem. Although accidents statistics
are not reliable it is estimated that around 30,000 people are killed
in the traffic annually.
Scope of Consultancy Services include:
